Builder - Pioneers of Pagonia
Builder character for Pioneers of Pagonia! This one went through more iterations than other characters I have shown so far. Luckily the team at Envision Entertainment was always happy to provide feedback when I was stuck.

Final Reference Sheet
First sketches - I wanted to give him the same signal orange as the Digger.
Different direction after feedback: Through orange they could be mistaken for the same job so I tried yellow. Also the sleeves and thick layers did not help getting the image of a hardworking construction worker across.
In the end we decided for a rugged vest. I tried different ways to implement the yellow signal color as well as a cyan accent, which must be present in every Pioneer. The white stripe ended up being a more medieval looking blocky pattern.
